These Are the First 2 Lightning Lanes You NEED to Book in Disney World

Disney’s skip-the-line system, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, can be overwhelming to figure out, but we are here to help!

Quincy is celebrating Lightning Lane Multi Pass!

It can be stressful trying to decide which attractions to book in advance and which ones you can wait to grab after you scan in to your first one on the day of your park visit. Our team is in the parks every day, and we try out a ton of strategies to help you on your next Disney vacation. From our data directly, here are the top 2 Lightning Lanes you need to book at each park.

Magic Kingdom

For Magic Kingdom, the two rides that fill up first are Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which is gone by 9:16 AM, and Big Thunder Mountain, which is currently closed for refurbishment.

Magic Kingdom data

When Big Thunder Mountain was open, it was a Tier 1 attraction alongside Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. When the ride reopens in 2026, it will likely be a Tier 1 attraction again. When that happens, we recommend booking it during your advance Lightning Lane booking, and as soon as you scan into your first ride, grab the other one. As of now, neither one of these attractions is open during Early Entry, so it makes it even more important to use one of your Lightning Lanes on it if you have your heart set on riding these Frontierland attractions.

EPCOT

While EPCOT used to be a park we could skip purchasing the Lightning Lane Multi Pass for, we no longer feel that way because of the multiple Tier 1 attractions that see long wait times throughout the day. The first attraction to go is Test Track, and it’s filled up by 8:38 AM!

EPCOT data

The following is Remy’s Rataouille Adventure as it is gone by 9:20 AM. Both of these are Tier 1 attractions, with Frozen Ever After just behind them at 10 AM. If you have Early Entry, this is a great park to take advantage of it and ride one of these top-tier rides. If you can enter the park for Early Entry using the International Gateway, you’ll be able to head to Remy’s first. If you are using the main gate to enter, Frozen Ever After or Test Track is your best choice.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

At Hollywood Studios, Slinky Dog Dash sells out by 8:23 AM. We recommend grabbing this one as your Tier 1 if possible during booking. Especially if Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster goes down for refurbishment in early 2026, as that will mean even more guests choosing Slinky Dog as their Tier 1 attraction.

Hollywood Studios data

Toy Story Mania fills up quickly as a Tier 2 at 10:58 AM. If you want to ride this attraction multiple times in a day due to the competitive nature, we recommend rope dropping it, or you can catch some lower wait times here in the late evening!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Lastly, at Animal Kingdom, it seems to be less competitive here to grab Lightning Lanes. Na’vi River Journey is the earliest to fill up at just 11:28 AM.

Animal Kingdom data

The next is the new Zootopia: Better Zoogether show inside the Tree of Life. This fills up at 1:44 PM.
