BREAKING: CLOSING Timeline for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney World

The Muppets are taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in 2026, and it’s almost time to say goodbye to Aerosmith.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

Disney previously revealed the new version of the Hollywood Studios coaster would open in summer 2026, but now we know when the current iteration will CLOSE.

Disney just revealed that the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be open until spring 2026! That gives you several more months to say goodbye.

Spring officially starts on March 20th, 2026, so you should have until then. We’ll be on the lookout for an official date, though!

This comes after the pre-show was shuttered, and Cast Members confirmed with us that it would NOT come back. Something to keep in mind as you get your final rides in.

Without warning?!

The Muppets x Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster mashup comes after Muppets Courtyard permanently closed earlier this year. (Yes, we’re still mourning) While change can be hard for some Disney fans — the nostalgia hits hard — many are excited to see the Muppets represented in an attraction in Disney World.

The story is that The Electric Mayhem are headlining their biggest Hollywood concert ever. Animal, Dr. Teeth, and the rest of the group are getting ready to rock…but nobody can find them!

Riders will be treated to a VIP tour of the legendary G-Force Records studio, which is under new management — the Muppets!
