Another closure is coming to Disney World!
Over at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Resort, things have changed quite a bit over the last few years. This resort offers gorgeous views, delicious cake slices, and an easy walk to EPCOT. Now, we’re here to remind you that another staple at this Disney hotel is closing soon.
The Promenade Fine Art Gallery is closing its doors at Disney’s BoardWalk on October 20th, but it won’t be forever! The fine art gallery has been a staple at the hotel since it opened in 1996, but its time at this spot is coming to an end. We reported on the closure back in September, but we’re here to remind you that you only have a few short weeks left to stop by.
The silver lining for this news is that the gallery isn’t permanently closing; it’s moving locations! At the time of writing, we don’t know where the art will be moving to, and there is no opening date for the shop. We were told that the gallery will post more information on social media when they are able!
The art gallery is a store and showcase for original paintings, giclees, and sculptures at the resort. This particular location specializes in a lot of Disney art. If you do plan on strolling through the store one more time, the last day you can is October 19th. This isn’t the first thing that is leaving the BoardWalk. Back in April, Jellyrolls closed with a huge final farewell performance, and many sad Disney fans, but it’s also moving to a new location!
Over the last several years, this resort has seen lots of changes, like the addition of The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, the Blue Ribbon Corn Dog Stand, and the BoardWalk Deli. We have been big fans of the new additions, but we don’t love to see such classics go! This is just another store in a long list of Disney World closures around the resorts and theme parks.
