Celebrities! They’re just like us!

Disney California Adventure

Disney is something that really brings people from all walks of life together! The amazing snacks, iconic rides, and emotional live entertainment can impact almost anyone, even if you happen to be famous around the world. Recently, one celeb has stopped by Disney California Adventure for a bit of fun in the sun!

We always want to go to the Disney parks, but when we see a celebrity stopping by the parks we want to go even more! Over on X, Disney parks shared that one very special actress stopped by the park to celebrate “ʻohana, sunshine, and a little Disney magic.” Everyone, say hi to Tia Carrere!

Not only was Tia rocking the Minnie Ears originally created for Aulani, but she also had on the most adorable Stitch Hawaiian shirt. If you don’t recognize her by name, Tia was the original voice of Nani from Disney’s animated classic Lilo and Stitch. Not only that, she also joined the cast in the live-action Lilo and Stitch as Mrs. Kekoa.

Tia was promoting the new film, which Disney recently confirmed was getting a sequel! In regards to the movie, Tia shared that coming back for the live action was a special moment. She said, “For me to be able to transition from being the young girl that everybody’s rooting for, to the woman that’s helping mentor the younger girl, it really dovetails with where I am in life, and it’s really fulfilling getting to become that.”

We’re seriously excited to see the new movie, which Disney has remained tight-lipped about. We don’t know many details about the film other than that it is in development. Although Tia plays a more serious role in the live-action as the social worker, we hope she gets to return in some capacity in the next film. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney celebrity signings, news, and updates!
