NEWS: Celebrity Rapper Condemns Same-Sex Couple in Pixar Movie

Disney is no stranger to controversy. Now, they’re back in the headlines due to a celebrity’s comments regarding a Pixar film.

Recently, Snoop Dogg commented on his fears regarding taking his grandchildren to the movies due to the Pixar film Lightyear, which debuted in 2022. The film featured a same sex couple, which is what prompted the star’s comments.

According to Deadline, Snoop Dogg is going viral due to comments made regarding the Pixar film Lightyear. The rapper said he was “scared” to take his grandchildren to the movies due to themes and topics addressed in films.

On a podcast called It’s Giving, the rapper referred to the same sex couple in the film, and was unsure of what to say to his grandchildren about the scene. The rapper said, “What you see is what you see, and they’re putting it everywhere. They’re like, ‘She had a baby — with another woman.’ Well, my grandson, in the middle of the movie, is like, ‘Papa Snoop? How can she have a baby with a woman? She’s a woman!’”

He continued on to say he didn’t come in “for this,” and he just came to watch the movie.  He continued to say that moment “f**ked me up” and shared he was scared to go to the movies because he didn’t have an answer to their questions. “It threw me for a loop,” he continued.

He continued to say, “These are kids. We have to show that at this age? They’re going to ask questions. I don’t have the answer.” The movie, which was a spin-off of the Toy Story films starring Chris Evans, featured a same sex kiss, which led to the film being banned in several countries.
