There is no right or wrong way to experience the Disney Parks…but Disney Millennials still might judge you for your choices!

Disney Millennials include parents, singles, older fans, and Disney Adults who are young at heart. This demographic makes up a huge chunk of the Disney fandom and demonstrates a ton of passion when it comes to all things Disney. With that said, Disney Millennials are far from perfect, as many of our readers have pointed out!
We recently asked our readers on Facebook, “Millennials! What do other Millennials do in the parks that drives you insane?” and we got some responses back that we totally agree with!

Reader Caitlynn wrote, “Loudly reciting the preshow spiels, like during Haunted Mansion or Tower. I know you love it and I know you want us to know that you know it, but maybe mouth along or do a low mumble. I don’t need you yelling it ❤”
The sentiment was shared by reader Rebecca, who added, “Talking along with preshows or doing stuff like yelling out “alcoholics” during guardians. You’re not original and it’s not funny. 🙄”

Disney Adults talking through pre-shows and reciting lines are not new complaints. We’ve voiced our grievances with this practice as well, finding it rude, obnoxious, and an easy way to ruin an experience for a Disney first-timer.
No one is doubting your Disney expertise, but we’re more impressed by restraint than your ability to memorize lines from a ride queue. It seems several Disney Millennials agree with us…

As we previously mentioned, many Disney Millennials are also parents, and some use strollers in the park. When responding to our prompt, reader Robert wrote, “Bad stroller etiquette.”

While bad stroller etiquette isn’t unique to millennials, it still can be a noticeable problem. Not running over other guests, not leaving strollers in disruptive places, and being mindful of space altogether are fair points that we can all work on to improve.

Millennials also grew up with tech, and the addiction to phones has become fairly blatant. Reader Shawn wrote, “Spending too much time on their phones and missing out on the magic.”
Reader Samuel got even more specific, adding, “Standing in front of merch forever while they are zoned out on their phones.”

It doesn’t help that the Disney Parks have gone digital-heavy with their apps that pretty much serve as a control center for your vacation. Guests can be staring at their phone, mapping out their reservations and checking wait times, or simply watching videos to pass the time. Either way, it’s easy to get lost and impede other guests or miss out on some fleeting magical moments that you might not ever experience again.
It’s never a bad idea to stand off to the side when you need to do some time-consuming browsing or just make an extra effort to be mindful of your surroundings when you’re in the Disney Parks.

Finally, Reader Andrew wrote, “Exist – it’s a paradox.”
While we may get irritated with each other from time to time, we still come together to share in our love for Disney, and that makes all the annoyances and pet peeves worth it!
