This app will be your one-stop shop to watch all of ESPN in one place. The launch is right before the start of college football and the NFL, as well as the WNBA Playoffs, and the US Open.

Starting in 2026, WWE will have premium live events on ESPN in the U.S! They weren’t kidding when they said you can watch all of your favorite sports in one place.

What about our football fans? ESPN is acquiring NFL media assets, while the NFL takes a 10% equity stake in ESPN. This deal is unlikely to close until the end of 2026.

ESPN will also require NFL Fantasy and will gain rights to distribute the NFL RedZone television channel.

Disney CEO Bob Iger said, “Today’s announcement paves the way for the world’s leading sports media brand and America’s most popular sport to deliver an even more compelling experience for NFL fans, in a way that only ESPN and Disney can.”

He also said he wants to reach the ESPN fans where they already are. If they want to be reached on an app, they can do that. If they want to be reached through Hulu, they can do that. Wherever they are, Disney is trying to get to them.
