NEW McDonald's Happy Meal Toys Are Coming (And They're Seriously Nostalgic!)

It looks like the entire McDonald’s gang is getting back together for this hard launch.

We were beyond thrilled to see McDonald’s bring back Snack Wraps to its menu recently, hot on the heels of some adorable tiny toys that we personally went nuts over. Now it seems nostalgia is the key to success for the fast-food giant as proven by a few other recent releases. McDonald’s is looking to revive their golden-era mascots in an effort to spark chatter and boost sales.

McDonald’s iconic characters Grimace, Birdie, the Hamburglar, and more are reuniting once again for McDonald’s upcoming teased release. McDonald’s has been texting us teases of their upcoming release of a nostalgia-fueled meal, and now we finally have our first glimpse into what will await us.

McDonald’s confirmed recently that we’ll be able to snag a McDonaldland Adult Happy Meal for ourselves when they launch August 12th.

Each meal will include a choice of a Quarter Pounder with Cheese or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, fries, and the new Mt. McDonaldland Shake. Pricing for these limited-time meals may vary by location as they’re determined by each individual restaurant, according to Axios.

McDonald’s has confirmed the new Mt. McDonaldland Shake is inspired by a volcano from McDonald’s fictional world. It’s made of soft serve and berry flavors plus has a “vibrant blue color with pink whipped cream.” We’re holding judgement to see if this new shake could dethrone the viral Grimace Shake we saw released in the summer of 2023 in celebration of Grimace’s birthday.

Each of these adult Happy Meals will be served in one of six McDonaldland collectible tins, each themed to a different character from the McDonaldland gang. McDonald’s also teased each tin will also be “packed with character-inspired postcards, stickers, and other nostalgic goodies.” If you’re after some limited-edition merch, McDonald’s also has upcoming collabs with Pacsun releasing on August 12th, and another with Away starting August 18th.

McDonald’s has done well in the past with sales of collaborations of meals and toys with popular brands, celebrities, and even the first releases of Adult Happy Meal toys that collectors and fans each have embraced. This latest addition the adult Happy Meal lineup proves that McDonald’s could be setting themselves up for another limited-time heavy hitter for this quarter’s profits.
