McDonald’s Just Teased NEW Happy Meal Toys (And Millennials are Gonna Love Them!)

Three of the world’s most popular brands are uniting in one epic McDonald’s Happy Meal. Buckle up.

McDonald’s in Disney World

After weeks of online speculation, McDonald’s has confirmed that it’s bringing its popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Hello Kitty Happy Meal collaboration to the U.S. after the promotion was successful in several international markets, including Malaysia and Italy. The line of toys is similar to the chain’s previous Yu-Gi-Oh x Hello Kitty collab.

In late July, the fast food giant shared an Instagram post with an image of the collection, along with the caption “two faves in one?? ?? try to get ‘em with the @tmnt x @hellokitty and friends Happy Meal out 8.12” confirming that the line will be released on August 12th.

Judging by the image, the figurines (which are blowing my Millennial mind!) will be:

  • Cinnamoroll x Michelangelo
  • Kuromi x Raphael
  • Hello Kitty x Leonardo
  • My Melody x Donatello

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been an American pop culture institution since the late 1980s, when the franchise transformed — or mutated if you will — from an underground independent comic book to a multimedia franchise.

Hello Kitty, owned by Japan’s Sanrio, debuted in 1974. The franchise has become a billion-dollar merchandising machine over the past five decades. Between these two giant fandoms, we have a feeling McDonald’s is gonna be BUSY this August.

Hello Kitty!
