We spend hours upon hours of the year eating food in Magic Kingdom, and we’re here to tell you that some snacks are just not worth your time!

While some Disney World treats are obsession-worthy and have entire online fan clubs, others are just not up to par. And today, we’re here to warn you not to spend your money on the snacks that could disappoint you!
Bagged Candies and Snacks
Starting out this list, we’ve got to talk about the packaged candy, cookies, crackers, and other snacks that you find in gift shops. These Disney-branded treats are particularly prominent in Magic Kingdom because you can get them at both Big Top Treats and Main Street Confectionery.

Typically, they’re just off-brand copies of popular snacks with Disney characters on the bags. And honestly? They’re not usually as good as the original. Plus, they tend to be overpriced! Do yourself a favor and stay away.
Prepackaged Confections in the Confectionery
In Main Street Confectionery, you’ll often see treats on display that are already bagged, packaged, and ready to go. They may look like what’s in the bakery case, but they are NOT created equal.

The apples or Rice Krispie treats that are already bagged up and sitting on the shelf were not made as fresh as the ones that are still inside the case. If you want the best quality products, order at the counter!
Plain Soft Serve Ice Cream
There are multiple places around Magic Kingdom where you can find good ol’ chocolate or vanilla soft serve, but we’re here to tell you not to fall for it! Why? Because there are MUCH better versions of frozen treats to try.

Why get plain soft serve when you could get DOLE Whip instead? Or if you’re in the mood specifically for chocolate or vanilla, you can head to Plaza Ice Cream Parlor and get hand-scooped ice cream with a variety of delicious toppings (we love the peanut butter sauce!). Level up that sweet treat!
Super Weird Float Combinations
Staying on the subject of ice cream and cold treats, there are a few places in Magic Kingdom where you can order a float…and you can often customize it a bit. But trust us when we say not to go too weird.

We’ve tried some pretty wild combinations in the name of science, and not all things are meant to be (like the chocolate soft serve mixed with blue Powerade pictured above). Maybe just stick to the classics like Coca-Cola and root beer with vanilla.
Breakfast Sandwiches
In a few spots around Magic Kingdom at snack stands and quick service restaurants, you’ll find basic breakfast sandwich options, designed to be a crowd-pleasing choice for a breakfast on the go. And we’ll be honest, these are usually pretty mid.

It’s typically some kind of meat-cheese-egg on carbs situation, and they’re definitely not going to stick in your brain as the “best thing” you ate on vacation. For a more memorable breakfast, we recommend the Gaston’s Tavern cinnamon roll or the waffles at Sleepy Hollow.
Churros
We’re probably going to break some hearts with this last one, but SKIP the churros in Magic Kingdom! Those snack cart churros are often disappointing and stale, and there are definitely better ways to enjoy some cinnamon-sugar goodness in the parks.

We’re big fans of the churros at Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom for a fancier option. And let’s be real here — Disneyland’s snack cart churros are definitely better than Disney World’s.

There are several really GOOD snacks in Magic Kingdom, but don’t assume that everything is up to par. You need to do your snack research ahead of time to have the best culinary experience!
