Stopping for brunch at this stately new restaurant at Disney Springs might not have made the top of your “to-do” list already, but it should!
Summer House on the Lake!

Here at AllEars, we know all the ins and outs of Disney World restaurants — including where you should definitely eat, and where you should skip. We recently stopped by Summer House on the Lake at Disney Springs and are bringing you our FULL review!

Background

Here you’ll savor the restaurant’s California-style cuisine and breezy beach vibes at this lively lakeside eatery—where summer never ends.

Here’s what you need to know about dining at this restaurant.

Atmosphere

The laid-back atmosphere this restaurant creates brings all of the California vibes. Here you can indulge your palate with the best of the restaurant’s signature dishes, and it’s made even better when you’re surrounded by good company.

But enough about that, what are we eating?!

Food & Drinks

To make sure we got started on the right foot, we ordered the Jalapeño Corn Bread for $13.95. This is served with honey butter.

Jalapeño Cornbread

This was a great way to start off the meal! It was super hot, and the extra side of butter just melted across it, spreading perfectly. It’s a sweet cornbread with shavings of salt on top. It was absolutely delicious! You could compare it to the sweet cornbread at Whispering Canyon or Flame Tree Barbecue. It had more of a cake consistency, but we thought it was amazing.

Have a slice!

First up, we grabbed the Our Famous Giant Cinnamon Roll
for $17.95. This is made with fresh blueberry swirl, candied lemon zest, and house-made cream cheese frosting.

It’s HUGE!

To be honest, this thing alone is the reason we stopped by for a review, and Summer House wasn’t playing around! It felt like Parker House Rolls made into a cinnamon roll. There are several of them in a batch, and it just peels apart perfectly. It does have more of a dense roll consistency rather than a pillowy cinnamon roll.

A look at the inside!

The icing was super sweet and spreadable. The blueberries were also incredibly sweet, but it wasn’t overwhelming. This is so massive that when we asked for a to-go box, they brought a literal cake box! We don’t recommend taking this one on alone because it is easily shareable.

You can see the consistency here!

Then we turned our attention to another dish. We picked up the Savory Pancake Tacos for $21.95. This is made of three pancakes filled with scrambled eggs, cheddar, and maple sausage.

Pancake Tacos

We hate to sound repetitive, but these were also really good! They have either a sweet or savory version, so you can choose your own pancake adventure. The pancakes were well-cooked. They weren’t overcooked, but they held up structurally, which can be an issue if they aren’t cooked enough.

Grab a bite!

The eggs were so fluffy, and the sausage was similar to crumbled sausage you would find on pizza. We loved the side of maple syrup to dip or drizzle. These were a huge win in our book!

A close-up look!

Finally, we wanted to go out with a bang, so we picked up the Cookie Butter Pie for $11.95. This is made of cookie butter, vanilla cheesecake mousse, and biscoff® cookie crust.

The Cookie Butter Pie

We can’t say enough good things about this! If you enjoy toffee desserts like the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake in Magic Kingdom, this is for you. The center was perfectly creamy and even had a light cinnamon flavor, almost like Teddy Grahams.

Have a bite!

The crust was buttery, and the consistency of the pie had us blown away. We would come back for this alone!

Magic or Tragic?

  1. Those “breakfast tacos” really made me want to cry… they look tasty and whatever but they are not tacos, just folded pancakes! As a Mexican this is just sad.
