A Word of Warning If You're Planning To Shop at This Popular Disney World Hotel Right Now

A popular Disney World hotel store is under CONSTRUCTION!

Changes are coming to Disney World in new lands inside several of its parks, and even a new lounge at one of its most sought-after hotels. While change and construction often can take a while to complete and be a bit of an inconvenience during your next trip, there’s one more that you’ll want to be aware of before you visit a particular Disney World hotel.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure to stop and take in the sights, sounds, and smells around Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you’ve probably felt like you’ve stepped right into a tropical oasis. There’s plenty of dining options to chose from here, activities to play and laugh in, a fantastic feature pool, and even more to explore across its sprawling grounds.

However, if you find yourself choosing to stay at this hotel or filling your vacation time with a stop here, you might want to be aware that there’s some ongoing construction here. Inside the Grand Ceremonial House one of the resident merchandise stores is called Boutiki, and it’s quite the catch all for hotel merch and souvenirs.

Disney recently announced that starting June 2nd, BouTiki will undergo maintenance through the end of June.

While Disney has posted an expected timeline for this construction to be completed, we don’t have a definitive date for when we can expect this store’s construction to be completed. Since they’re only expecting it to be closed through the end of June, that seems like a safe indication that Boutiki shouldn’t be undergoing an extensive construction or refurbishment.
