There are few things more important to pack for a trip to Disney World than a supportive pair of shoes, as former Cast Members know firsthand.

These are some of the WORST shoes you can wear to the “Most Magical Place on Earth”… and some alternatives to keep your feet happy!
Cheap Flip-Flops
As tempting as it may be to go for a cheap pair of flip-flops, for most people, it’s simply not worth the tradeoff. They don’t offer much support, lead to blisters, or protect from the environment.
Alternative: Teva Sandals

If you’re dead set on wearing sandals at Disney’s parks, we’d advise going for something like Tevas. These sandals offer “quick-dry webbing” made from recycled plastic using traceable, verifiable polyester yarn that “supports your foot and stands up to abuse” as well as a “Universal Strapping Stytem” that features multiple points of adjustability for a “perfect” fit.
Non-Structured Sneakers
As cool as floppy sneakers like traditional Converse Chuck Taylors can look, a trip to Walt Disney World’s theme parks requires something with more structure and padding to protect the soles of your feet.
Alternative: HOKAS

Look, we know you’re probably sick of hearing us talk about HOKA sneakers, but we can’t resist! They are some of our FAVORITE Disney World shoes. These synthetic sneakers are perfect for physical exertion, including walking the Magic Kingdom for 12 hours.
Boots
Wearing boots at a theme park is… not a good idea. Especially during the summer months when temperatures in Florida can reach 3 digits real-feel.
Alternative: ANYTHING but boots.
Make sure to avoid the worst of these shoes and grab the better options for your next trip to Disney World, and stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney travel tips!
