Prepare to set sail for a NEW island destination!

Late this year, Carnival Cruise Line will debut a BRAND NEW destination exclusive to Carnival passengers: Celebration Key! The new island, which is scheduled to open in summer of 2025, is going to be, “perfect for adults, families with kids… everybody who appreciates fun and natural beauty.”
According to Carnival, the island will maintain the line’s “onboard vibe” and expand on passengers’ vacations with “unique island-style fun, relaxation and adventure spread across 65 acres and five “portals” for you to explore. Each portal is distinctly different, made for another side of Carnival fun… plus get ready for unforgettable experiences like a mile-long white sand beach, largest freshwater lagoons in the Caribbean, local Bahamian flavors and shopping, an adult-only beach club, plus excursions and more.”

The island’s five portals include:
- Paradise Plaza: The island’s “entryway” which includes shops, restaurants, live music, guest services, and a Bahamian-inspired fountain. Off in the distance, sits a massive Suncastle featuring waterslides and an observation deck.
- Calypso Lagoon: The adult-friendly portal features “as much lively action to find as there are ways to chill. Relax on a float, try a lounger by the lagoon, go full-cabana, hang at a bar where all the seats are actually swings, or get in the game at the sports court. So go ahead and work up — or relax up — an appetite, because Calypso Lagoon is also home to great dining options, with two full-service restaurants serving a variety of cuisines and specializing in local Bahamian flavors. There’s also an adults-only area — call it a getaway within a getaway — that’s decked out with a swim-up bar near the DJ’s island, plus local Bahamian food trucks.”
- Starfish Lagoon: This family-friendly portal is designed for parents, kids, and teens alike and features “activities like the lagoon and beach, splash pad with shallow pool, plus basketball, volleyball, pickleball and more at the game pavilion. And, of course, the adults can do their own thing. (By the way: swim-up bar!) Beach villas and floating aquabanas are just a couple of options for families to make this portal their home base, and you know there’s great dining for all, from food trucks to restaurants, with plenty of cuisine choices.”
- Pearl Cove Beach Club: This Adult’s ONLY portal “takes luxury to the next level” and features amenities including “a private beach and stunning infinity pool overlooking the best views of Bahamian waters”, and “elevated” dining including poolside or beachfront service.
- Lokono Cove: Finally, we have this “colorful showcase of Bahamian culture and shopping whose authenticity extends from the name to much of what’s for sale. Among the kiosks, stores and straw market, some highlights in this portal — named for Grand Bahama’s earliest settlers, the peaceful Lucayans — include local artist exhibitions, a mural wall, live music performances… plus artisanal goods made by Bahamian vendors, so you can bring home a piece of paradise for yourself, or a gift with a great story behind it. And if you’re seeking some sparkle, get ready for duty-free jewelry and diamond shopping.”

Carnival’s new private island Celebration Key, complete with its five portals, is going to be available beginning this summer. Stay tuned to AllEars for more on the cruise industry!
