A lot is happening in 2025 in Orlando, and there are a few things you should know to prepare for your trip this year.

Not only are we seeing new additions coming to Disney World, like new lounges, a new parade, and new shows, but there is also the opening of the highly anticipated Epic Universe — Universal Orlando’s latest theme park. If you are planning on doing a split stay with Universal and Disney World this year, you are going to want to consider these things.
Disney World hotel guests no longer have to pay for parking. There was a time when guests did, but Disney ended that policy. So if you are trying to decide whether to stay on Disney property, that is a bonus.

At Universal Hotels, for overnight guests, you can pay anywhere from $26 to $36 plus tax per night, per vehicle. Day guests of the resort can pay $50 or more per day.

For guests visiting Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, or City Walk, you can expect to pay $32 for general self-parking. You can pay for a closer spot with Prime Parking for $50 – $60.

We have seen some aerial photos of the parking being built at Epic Universe, and one of the first things we noticed is that parking is just a flat lot. There is likely to be a fee to park here, however we don’t have those fees just yet. You can also park at CityWalk and take a bus to Epic for about a 20-minute ride, but you’ll also need to pay to park there as well.

For Disney World theme parks, there is a fee. Standard parking is $30 per day and preferred parking ranges from $45 to $55 per day. If you are park hopping, just keep your receipt from the first park you paid for that day, show the Cast Member at the next park, and no need to pay again. If you are staying at a Disney World hotel, you do not have to pay to park at the theme parks.

If you are staying in an off-site hotel from either Theme Park company, you could be paying a lot of money in parking fees. Be sure to weigh the benefits and costs to decide what is best for your traveling party.

We can’t wait for Epic Universe to open this May, and we will keep you up to date on everything there. Be sure to follow us at AllEars.net for more.
