We recently witnessed one of Disneyland’s most adorable traditions.

Each day, hundreds of guests rope drop the “Happiest Place on Earth”, barreling into Disneyland to try and make it to their favorite rides and attractions. However, what some of those rope-dropping guests don’t know is that there’s a unique Disneyland tradition that usually takes place each morning in the park’s Bayou Country.
Up in that corner of the park sits The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. This dark ride — which replaced the Country Bear Jamboree at the park in the early 2000s — offers guests the chance to “get lost in the pages of A.A. Milne’s classic tales” as they “glide through Pooh’s most memorable adventures.”

Each morning, the first guests who arrive at the ride can sign an ornate storybook, enshrining them as the first riders of that given day. Yep, that’s right — it’s not always guaranteed, but if you’re the first rider on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh for the day, you might get the chance to sign your name, too!

This little tradition has long been an underground favorite of Disneyland aficionados and has gained additional attention on social media in recent years. There have been some reports that since this increased knowledge of the tradition has gone public it in turn hasn’t been done daily.

Recently, we rope-dropped Disneyland, and got to witness one of the park’s most beloved tiny traditions live and in-person. Stay tuned to AllEars for more on Disneyland’s traditions!
