I Am Literally on My Knees Begging You Not To Do This at Disney World Lounges

Disney World lounges are magical little havens in the middle of all the hustle and bustle!

Whether you’re sipping on a fancy cocktail after a long day of park hopping or just soaking in the relaxing vibes, these lounges are designed to be a peaceful escape. But let’s keep it real. Sometimes we see some lounge behavior that isn’t the most “magical.” Now, we’ve seen some things, and we’re here to help you avoid becoming “that” person at a Disney lounge. So, here’s what we’re begging you – on our knees, no less – not to do.

As we were saying, here are a few things we’re literally begging you not to do at Disney World lounges. Trust us, it’ll make your experience (and everyone else’s) way better.

Don’t Order a Round of Drinks Five Minutes Before Closing

Look, we get it. Disney World lounges are fun, and time flies when you’re sipping something delicious. But when the staff is clearly trying to wrap up for the night, it’s not the time to roll up and say, “We’ll have six Mai Tais!”

Have mercy on the cast members. They’ve been serving magical beverages all day and deserve to clock out at a reasonable hour.

Don’t try to take the glassware home.

We know that drink looks so much cooler in that specialty glass, but unless the lounge is specifically serving it in a souvenir cup (and charging you for it), that glass needs to stay put.

Trust us, sneaking a martini glass into your backpack is not the kind of memory you want to take home from Disney World.

Don’t bring your pets into the lounge.

This might seem like common sense, but believe it or not, some people might think their teacup Yorkie deserves a spot at the bar.

So, unless your furry friend is a service animal (and Disney has strict guidelines for that), they’ll have to wait outside. Fluffy can’t enjoy a Negroni anyway, so let’s not test this one.

Don’t claim a lounge chair with your Mickey ears and leave.

We know lounge seating can be competitive, but throwing your ears, bag, or random belongings onto a chair and disappearing for an hour is not the move.

These spots are for everyone to enjoy, so please don’t treat them like your personal reserved seating area.

Don’t bring your own picnic.

Yes, Disney food can be expensive, and sometimes you need to sneak in a granola bar between attractions, but the lounge is not the place to unpack a full-blown charcuterie spread you assembled at Target.

Outside food is a no-go in these spaces, so let’s stick to what’s on the menu.

Disney lounges are a vibe, and following some simple etiquette will keep them that way. Be kind to the staff, respect the space, and remember that everyone there is just trying to kick back and relax, just like you. We promise that a little courtesy goes a long way in keeping the magic alive.
