Disney 'Mufasa: The Lion King' Tickets are Available NOW

Mufasa: The Lion King is one of Disney’s most-anticipated films of the year. The Barry Jenkins-helmed sequel/prequel hybrid to 2019’s massively successful “live-action” adaptation of The Lion King is scheduled for release in December, but you can get tickets NOW.

Tickets for Mufasa: The Lion King’s release on December 20th are now up for sale on Fandango.

According to Disney, the film “enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka—the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destiny—their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a threatening and deadly foe.”

In addition to Jenkins’ direction, the film features songs by award-winning songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda and an original score by Dave Metzger. Returning cast members from the 2019 film include Donald Glover as Simba, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, John Kani as Rafiki, and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala. They’re joined by newcomers Aaron Pierre as Mufasa, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Taka, Tiffany Boone as Sarabi, Mads Mikkelsen as Kiros, Anika Noni Rose as Afia, and Blue Ivy Carter making her feature film debut as Kiara.
