NEWS: A Classic Disneyland Ride Is CLOSING in 2025

As Sharpay Evans says, “It’s out with the old, and in with the new,” and while new Disney parks projects can be exciting, that doesn’t mean we won’t miss what’s leaving.

We’ve seen it countless times over the years — the Great Movie Ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Maelstrom at EPCOT — but now another attraction is joining that list.

It’s official. The Red Car Trolley attraction at Disney California Adventure is set to be discontinued. Operations are set to halt in early 2025 with a specific closing date coming later this winter.

This is due to construction beginning on the new area of Avengers Campus, which is set to begin in early 2025 as well. The construction will require the removal of the Red Car Trolley barn causing its discontinuation.

It’s unclear if this is a permanent closure or if the attraction will return in the future. We’ll just have to wait and see with this one.

Disney revealed more details about the Avengers Campus at the recent D23 event. The Marvel-themed land will get two new attractions — Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab.
