When you’re traveling through an airport, you’ve got to budget extra time for the unexpected!

Our team has flown hundreds of times for vacation and for work, and we’ve encountered all kinds of problems — from weather delays to airline glitches. But today, if you’re flying through the Orlando International Airport, we’ve got a warning for you!
According to Eric Burrus from WESH Orlando, the Orlando International Airport (MCO) has officially issued a ground stop. This means that flight delays are going to start piling up quickly.
Heads up, ground stop, just issued for @MCO. Delays are going to start building quickly… pic.twitter.com/Tc0SyRUiiD

This ground stop is due to thunderstorms in the area and is causing a 60-minute flight delay on average. If the storms don’t clear quickly, that number may rise.

We’ll be on the lookout for any changes or any updates from specific airlines, so stay tuned to AllEars. The ground stop is set to end at 4:30PM ET. The best thing you can do at this moment is to wait patiently for updates on your specific flight and download your airline’s app for news.

For those nearby in Disney World, we’ve been seeing some dark clouds rolling in. If you’re in the parks, prepare for the weather with your ponchos and maybe a plan to head indoors for a bit!
If you’re in Tomorrowland and are seeing this too…are we ok? ?⛈️ pic.twitter.com/0Ga4VJY9Gd
