We’re finally starting to get more details about the newest ship in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet, the Disney Destiny.

The Disney Destiny will have a heroes and villains theme, including rooms inspired by Hercules and The Incredibles. In keeping with that heroes and villains theme, the ship will also feature multiple spaces dedicated to Marvel. In fact, it could have the most Marvel representation we’ve seen on a Disney Cruise Line ship yet!
Disney recently revealed that the Disney Destiny will feature five Marvel-themed areas on the ship, starting with the ship’s Grand Hall, which will be inspired by Black Panther. Imagineers worked with the costume team from the Black Panther movies to create this space, which includes “metalwork on the pilars inspired by the banded armor and stacked jewelry found in Wakanda.” There’s even a light fixture inspired by Vibranium.

The Grand Hall will also feature a statue of T’Challa, aka Black Panther.

Disney Cruise Line is also introducing its first Marvel-themed lounge, The Sanctum, inspired by Doctor Strange. It will feature mystical items “designed to aid sorcerers in protecting the world,” but it will also have entertainment, cocktails, spirits, and coffees. Disney even promises “unique surprises from Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum, including a circular mirror behind the bar that evokes the building’s iconic window.”
For the first time ever, the stern of the ship will feature a Marvel character: Spider-Man! The huge sculpture will feature Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots.

The Destiny Tower Suite is a penthouse inspired by Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. You’ll find “armor-like materials and mechanical elements” with “soft, inviting finishes to create an opulent experience exclusive to the Disney Destiny.

The suite will be in the ship’s funnel and can sleep up to eight people. It will also have a full kitchen and private ensuite elevator. Tony Stark would approve.

You’ll also be able to visit Saga, a “central hub for daytime family activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment.” The two-story venue will host interactive shows and events in a space that is also inspired by the architecture of Wakanda.
The Disney Destiny will also feature the Worlds of Marvel dining experience, featuring Rocket and Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. During a tribute to the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Groot will be taking over the experience as he organizes a surprise party for Rocket.

Disney’s Oceaneer Club for kids ages three to 10 will bring young recruits together to be trained by some of their favorite Avengers.

So if you’re a Marvel fan, you might want to get ready to book a cruise on the Disney Destiny, starting with its maiden voyage in November 2025. Castaway Club Members and select Disney guests can book early beginning September 6th, 2024. General booking opens to the public on September 12th, 2024
