Welcome Foolish Mortals, we’ve got quite the update for you!

As usual, we’ve been exploring the parks to keep you updated on the latest. Disneyland is a bit of a construction zone right now with work on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure still underway, the retheming of Hungry Bear Restaurant, and the changes to Critter Country as a whole. But now we’ve got an update on the Haunted Mansion, and buckle up because it’s a big one!
UPDATE: Haunted Mansion Holiday announced that it will open on July 29th. More details here.
We made our way over to New Orleans Square where we noticed something new — Haunted Mansion Holiday decorations are up!

The Haunted Mansion has been closed since January 22nd, 2024 so it’s been a LONG time. It typically closes for a short period of time to change from the regular attraction to the holiday version and back. This year, it remained closed as Disney works on its expansion and upgrades in that area of the park.

Disney has still not confirmed a reopening date for the ride, however, these decorations are a sign that it’s close! If you look a bit closer, you can see pumpkins!

Yep, that iconic wreath with the countdown to “XMAS” is ready to go.

Haunted Mansion Holiday is one of the biggest attractions in the park during Halloween time and the holiday season. Inside, the Nightmare Before Christmas characters have taken over the mansion with new songs, features, animatronics, and more. It’s a must if you’re in the park during that time of year!
Things will be different when it reopens, though — you’ll ONLY be able to ride via Virtual Queue in the Disneyland app. That’s because Disney will still be doing construction in the area!

An expanded outdoor queue is coming with new details including new gardens inspired by Master Gracey, Madame Leota, and the one-eyed cat. There will be a water fountain and gazebo accompanied by statues and landscaping, and a new greenhouse!

Disney is also working on a new retail shop located in the mansion’s carriage house which belongs to Madame Leota.

We’re also still waiting for an official opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! The Disney World version opened in June, but no word yet on when guests can ride the Disneyland version. The current opening timeline is “2024” so we’ll have to wait and see!
We’ll let you know as soon as Disney announces a reopening date for Haunted Mansion, so stay tuned to AllEars for more.
