Can you believe that we’re already celebrating Mardi Gras?

While we might not be in New Orleans for the occasion, we’re celebrating just as hard at Universal Orlando! Yep, Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval began on February 3rd, 2024, and will run until April 7th, 2024. We’re headed to Universal to check it out for ourselves. Wanna come with? Of course you do!

There are all sorts of things to experience at Mardi Gras — from food and merchandise to entertainment. Let’s check it out!

Food

There’s a large array of themed cuisine that you can grab throughout your time in the parks. We were invited to a special media event where we got to try lots of the most popular offerings — let’s do a brief review of them all!

For our drink, we grabbed the Pina Colada!

We also got to try some of the most popular eats at the event, which are:

• Thailand Chicken Skewers

• QuesaBirria

• Pasteleon

• Beignets

• King Cake

• Obleta

We also had the special chance to make some Beignets before we headed out on our next adventure!

We also got a recipe card to take home to make them in our kitchen.

Parade

It’s not Mardi Gras without a parade! We grabbed our spot for the parade, which happens on select nights and is something you do NOT want to miss!

This parade is filled with incredible, MASSIVE floats, as well as amazing performers that make it that much more magical.
