ESPN, owned by the Walt Disney Company, is a massive sports media source for all fans across the country.

You can watch games on TV on ESPN, watch replays or live games on ESPN+, or get live updates through the app. Disney has given us access to ESPN at our fingertips. One thing the company has yet to dabble in, though, is sports betting. But that is soon changing.
Jimmy Pitaro, ESPN’s Chairman, stated, “Our primary focus is always to serve sports fans and we know they want both betting content and the ability to place bets with less friction from within our products.” And give us betting, they will. ESPN BET is set to debut on November 14th of this year.

Disney has brought up the idea of launching ESPN BET in the past few months and now in an agreement with PENN Entertainment, ESPN will be launching the new branded sportsbook, ESPN BET, throughout the 17 states where sports betting is legal: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

ESPN shared that “ESPN BET furthers ESPN’s commitment to serve fans by leveraging ESPN’s industry-leading multi-platform reach with the rising product operations and expertise of PENN Entertainment.” ESPN BET will work in conjunction with the ESPN app.
ESPN BET will become the new brand across all platforms for all of ESPN’s overall sports betting content. This includes ESPN’s Daily Wager program which will become ESPN BET Live beginning November 10th.

Last, ahead of the launching of ESPN BET, fans will have the chance to enter into a sweepstakes “for the chance to win an exclusive trip to the ESPN headquarters in Bristol, Conn.” Be on the lookout for more details on the sweepstakes!
