We Can’t Stop Thinking About Disney’s NEW Souvenir That Literally Looks Like…a BUG?

If we’re talking controversial Disney merchandise, we need to talk about MUNCHLINGS.

Well, maybe “controversial” is a bit dramatic. However, it is true that Disney fans feel very strongly about the Munchlings plushes and collectables, whether they find them so adorable they can’t resist buying them, or so disturbing that they wish the items would leave shelves forever. If you are like us and find the Disney Munchlings to be the best thing since sliced ‘Ohana bread, you’re going to want to keep reading.

Monday, October 9th was a BIG day for Disney Springs visitors and Munchlings fans alike! The Disney Munchlings Specialty Treats New Release Event showcased an all-new Munchlings plush as well as a new dessert inspired by the plush. Folks could also watch Chef Amanda Lauder and her team create one of the treats on the Waterside Stage.

Okay, first thing’s first. Who is ready to see this new plush? Drum roll, please…

IT’S HEIMLICH! From A Bug’s Life! No one can convince us that this isn’t the most adorable thing we’ve ever seen.

Oh… and can we just admire Chef Amanda and the team’s GORGEOUS work? It looks just as adorable as the real thing. It’s a Chocolate Piñata Heimlich with Candy Corn Crackle.

Here’s a Tweet that Disney shared. Note that Disney says this is available at Amorette’s Patisserie, but we usually see these chocolate pinatas at The Ganachery instead.
