Have you ever had a flight delayed at Orlando International Airport?

We’re going to guess that the answer is “yes,” especially if you’ve flown over the past few years. Delays seem to happen pretty often now, but it doesn’t have to be a HUGE hassle if you take the time to explore the airport. Believe it or not, there are plenty of things to do there!
Before we get to all the things you can do, we have to give a shout-out to Terminal C. If you happen to end up in Terminal C, you might be AMAZED at everything it has to offer. First, there’s a very cool Universal store there WITH A DRAGON straight out of Harry Potter. Plus, you’ll find a huge Disney store here, too. Here’s the thing: even if your flight doesn’t land you in Terminal C, you can get a visitor pass to check it out.

Okay, so here are five things you can do to make the time fly by faster when your flight gets delayed.
Shop
You want shopping? Well, you’ve got some good options here. We’ve already mentioned the amazing Universal and Disney World stores in Terminal C, but you’ll also find Universal and Disney stores in other parts of the airport, too. Why not take the opportunity to pick up some last-minute souvenirs?

Shopping is one of the best ways to make time fly quickly when you’re waiting for an update on your flight.
Eat
This is one of our favorite things to do at Orlando Airport. You’ll find Cask & Larder in the airport, which is owned by the same folks who own The Polite Pig in Disney Springs. Yes, that means the food here is GREAT. There’s also a little grab-and-go shop here that serves a great cold brew and those amazing flavored Wondermade marshmallows.

If you head over to Terminal C, you can indulge in Wine Bar George (yes, as in the Wine Bar George at Disney Springs) and Sunshine Diner (which is owned by Chef Art Smith of Homecomin‘).
Hang out in a lounge
If you’re a member of an airline rewards program or have certain credit cards (like Capital One), you can go spend some time in a lounge. Most lounges have places to rest and charge your devices, as well as offer free snacks and drinks. If you need to get away from airport life for a while, that’s your best bet.

If you don’t have access to a lounge, you can buy a day pass that will let you in for just one day.
Pet a dog
Did you know you can meet and pet dogs at Orlando International Airport? Yes! At certain times on select days, the MCO Paw Pilots will be available for pets and furry loves.

Seriously, what’s better than petting a pup when you’re stressed out about a flight delay? It’s an INSTANT mood booster. You can follow MCO on X (aka Twitter) to find out when the pups will be available.
Log in to the free Wi-Fi and watch Disney+
Maybe you don’t want to go anywhere and just want to find a quiet place to chill and watch your favorite comfort shows. You can sign in to the free Wi-Fi at Orlando International Airport and watch all your favorite streaming shows to pass the time.

It’s a great opportunity to pull up your favorite Disney movie on Disney+ to keep your spirits up.
So don’t worry if your flight gets delayed. You can find things to do to pass the time while you’re waiting for updates and before you finally get on that airplane.
