NEW Details Revealed for Transformation at Iconic Disneyland Restaurant

Over the past few years, Disney has made quite a few major restaurant changes!

In Disney World, we’ve seen additions like Steakhouse 71, Space 220, Roundup Rodeo BBQ, and the overhaul of Trail’s End. At Disneyland, French Market Restaurant is being transformed into Tiana’s Palace. But that’s not the only restaurant change coming on the west coast!

According to theme park reporter Scott Gustin (@scottgustin on Twitter), Steakhouse 55 at Disneyland Hotel is going to be converted into a flexible lounge space. It will sometimes operate as an extension of a seasonal bar.

Work should begin on this space today, including the removal of the restaurant’s marquee. The restaurant has been for a little while now, and it was confirmed that it would be permanently closed.

We’ll be on the lookout for official word from Disney about this restaurant, but we’re sad to see it go, especially now that we have Steakhouse 71 on the east coast as well.
