If you’re visiting Disney World with tired littles, a tired grown-up, or you’re just excited to see Disney World from a new angle, the Skyliner is one of the best places to be.

As one of the most popular modes of transportation around Disney World, the Skyliner is a system of gondolas that takes you soaring over the resorts, parks, and roads. With stations at numerous Disney World hotels as well as Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, the Skyliner is a great way to get to where you need to be. However, we love riding the Skyliner even when we have nowhere to be.
The Skyliner is 100% a ride in itself, and you can’t change our minds. Whether you’re seeking out a quiet place for nap time, are seeking respite from long treks around the parks in the heat, or are resort-hopping, the Skyliner is a great place to do so.

In most cases, as long as it’s not super busy in the early mornings or late evenings, you’ll have a whole gondola to yourself. This allows for a private, quiet way to relax for a few minutes. It’s also pretty breezy while the Skyliner is moving — which is also pretty relaxing. Whether you’re hoping to chat with your Disney crew or enjoy some peace and quiet, the Skyliner has your back.

The Skyliner is often so relaxing, in fact, that it’s super ideal for nap time. You can push strollers into the gondolas without unstrapping the kiddos or collapsing the stroller, so it’s easy to board and allow your children to nap in their strollers or watch Disney World go by from their own seats. Plus, it’s super fun for them most of the time! The “take off” and “landing” feature little dips that feel a lot like an actual ride.

The Skyliner is also a great opportunity to sightsee! From above, you have a unique view of some of the parks, all the land on Disney property, and even a view of the resorts and hotels. This could be a great way to keep kiddos entertained with a game of I Spy or to simply take it all in and relax.

What do you think? Will you spend some extra time on the Skyliner on your next Disney World trip? We’ll continue to keep you updated on any and all Disney news and advice we may have, so make sure to follow along for more.
