A fan-favorite snack of ours is… well… ANYTHING from Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs. If you’re a fan of cookies, cake, icing, or anything sweet enough to make your teeth hurt — this place needs to go on your Disney World bucket list for sure. The cool thing about Gideon’s is that the owner swaps out desserts regularly so that unique treats have a chance to shine during holidays, certain seasons, or even when he just feels like it. Well, some new treats have landed on the Gideon’s menu for the month of June — so let’s check them out.
Throughout the entire month of June, Gideon’s is offering TWO exclusive treats. One treat reps the sea turtles, and one treat reps our LGBTQ+ friends for pride month. (Pssstt… these both look super yummy.) Let’s check them out!
First up, you can grab the Sea Turtle Cookie, which consists of premium chocolate, homemade caramel, and whole candied pecans — all topped with some of Gideons’ signature sea salt.
This cookie is inspired by the 1918 turtle candy, and each visitor can purchase 2 cookies per day. A proceed of each sale will go to Florida’s Sea Turtle Conservancy, which is the oldest sea turtle research and conservation group in the WORLD.
Next up, in honor of Pride Month, visitors can grab a slice of the Rainbow Crunch Cake. This one has been available throughout Pride Month in the past, and the slices are HUGE! It’s rainbow confetti cake layered with lots of buttercream frosting.
