Help Families in Need With Disney's Toys for Tots Campaign

With the holiday season approaching, there’s a lot to think about — upcoming trips, moments with family, delicious meals, and gifts.

But, there’s another special thing you can do this holiday season whether you’ll be in the Disney parks or at home — you can give a little magic to others, the Disney way.

Earlier today, Disney started this year’s “Disney Ultimate Toy Drive” by giving a $500,000 donation to the Marine Toys for Tots Program. Toys for Tots works to “bring comfort, happiness, and inspiration to children and families in need during the holiday season.”

Disney actually has a long history with Toys for Tots. Did you know Walt Disney and a team of Disney animators actually designed the Toys for Tots train logo back in 1947? We’ve seen Disney host Toys for Tots charity campaigns in the past too.

Well, now you can take a bit of that Disney history and give back to others through Disney’s Ultimate Toy Drive, no matter where you are.

Right now through December 14th, you can donate a toy to this program a few different ways:

Donate a toy online through shopDisney.com;
Drop off a new, unwrapped toy in Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort — collection bins will be located in World of Disney, Star Wars Trading Post, and Resort Hotel stores; or
Drop off a new, unwrapped toy in Disney Springs in Disney World — collection bins will be located in World of Disney, Marketplace Co-Op, Star Wars Galactic Outpost and the Disney Springs Welcome Center.

If you can’t make it out to the parks, you can donate through shopDisney as noted above. All you need to do is visit shopDisney’s “Ultimate Toy Drive” page. There, you’ll see a number of toys eligible to be donated.

You can click on the toy you want, mark that it is for donation, and check out.

Note that it appears some discounts, like the Friends & Family discount currently being offered, can be used on donations, helping you potentially give more for less.

Disney teams across the entire company are also set to celebrate the Toy Drive in special ways. When discussing this, Disney shared that “the Hawkeye premiere is looking to be right on target (wink, wink)!” We’ll keep an eye out for more updates on that.
