Lucasfilm Will Be Celebrating Their 50th Anniversary Next Year With NEW Merch!

In 2021, Lucasfilm will celebrate its 50th anniversary! And a 50th anniversary is a very big deal, which means it’s going to be a special year for fans of the studio!

Although most associate Lucasfilm with Star Wars, it’s also the company that gave us Indiana Jones (and that awesome Indiana Jones Adventure attraction at Disneyland!). So next year, Lucasfilm fans can expect to see loads of new merchandise drop for both franchises and more!

According to the official Star Wars website, the big birthday party will launch in January and continue throughout the year with new special edition product releases.

Paul Southern, Lucasfilm senior vice president, Licensing and Franchise said, “To commemorate Lucasfilm’s 50 years of storytelling, we look forward to honoring this consumer products legacy and bringing to life brand-new products, games, and publishing offerings that celebrate our future with Lucasfilm’s exciting feature films and Disney+ series ahead.”

George Lucas founded Lucasfilm in 1971, and since then, the company has made movies that not only defined pop culture, but created revolutionary visual effects, sound design, and animation. The company has received numerous awards, including Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Sci-Tech Awards, and more.

And Lucasfilm continues to make groundbreaking entertainment, such as The Mandalorian series which is currently in its second season on Disney+. We can’t wait to see what Lucasfilm comes up with next.
