According to Variety, Leslye Headland, creator of the Netflix series Russian Doll, will be creating another Star Wars series for Disney+, joining The Mandalorian, the Obi-Wan Kenobi Series, and the Cassian Andor series on the platform.

Variety is reporting that the series “will be a female-centric series that takes place in a different part of the Star Wars timeline than other projects.” Headland is attached to write, along with serving as show runner for the series.

Current Star Wars projects use the original trilogy as an anchor point. The Clone Wars is set at the end of the Prequel Trilogy, the Obi-Wan series will be set several years after The Clone Wars, and the Andor series will be set before Rogue One. The Mandalorian is the odd one out, set several years after the original trilogy. That leaves several areas the new series could fall.
