We’ve tried all kinds of gadgets to tackle the chaos that is Disney World. And sometimes, we’ve tried those gadgets against our will.
You know when things go wrong in the parks — like injuries, bad weather, or wardrobe malfunctions — and you have to spend money on overpriced solutions to your problem? Yeah, been there, done that. So today, we’re sharing 3 things you probably want to buy BEFORE your Disney World trip so that you don’t have to snag them in a panic during your park day.
The first big problem you’ll encounter a lot in Disney World? Bad weather! People associate Florida with sunshine and don’t realize that it actually rains nearly every day in the summertime. Cue the dozens of families panic-purchasing ponchos in the Disney World gift shops.
Well, worry not, because we have a solution. We’re big fans of the FROGG TOGGS Ultra-lite2 Waterproof, Breathable Rain Poncho. It comes in both adult and child sizes, as well as several different colors.
We’ve tested it several times in the park and found it to be breathable (not sticky, like many cheaper ponchos are), and easy to reuse. Do yourself a favor and get one of these for each person in your group before your trip.
One problem we’ve encountered literally dozens of times in the parks is a dead cellphone. And without your phone, you’re severely hindered in Disney World! You’ll find FuelRod machines all around the property to help you recharge your devices, but did you know you can buy FuelRods ahead of time on Amazon?
Sometimes, you can get the 2-pack on Amazon for cheaper than you can buy the ones in the parks individually from the machines. You’ll still be able to use your pre-ordered FuelRods in Disney World and swap them out for fully-charged ones for free.
In another weather-related vein, many visitors in Disney World find that the sun is WAY more intense than they were expecting. They end up heading to the gift shops to buy sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen in order to survive. But no longer!
