If there’s one thing Disney fans are going to do, it’s share exactly how they feel about what’s coming next.

With so many big updates on the horizon at Walt Disney World, we decided to take the temperature over on Facebook. We asked you for your thoughts on the upcoming changes at Disney World, and y’all had thoughts. Some of you are ready to rope drop these new lands the second they open. Others are side-eyeing a few announcements and wondering who exactly asked for that. So let’s break down some of the most passionate responses.

We reached out to our followers on Facebook and Instagram to ask: “What’s one upcoming Disney World change you’re excited for… and one you could honestly live without?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments!

What do you think?

Now, let’s go over some of your top responses!

“Can’t wait for Villains & Cars lands…”

George jumped right in with,

“Can’t wait for Villains & Cars lands. The Island needed to go. I could definitely live without Indiana Jones ride in Animal Kingdom. It belongs in Hollywood Studios.”

There’s a lot to unpack here, but we’ve definitely seen this sentiment pop up more than once. The excitement for Villains and Cars is real. Fans are clearly ready for bold, immersive lands that lean into big IP and big thrills.

At the same time, the Indiana Jones ride planned for Animal Kingdom continues to spark debate. Quite a few of you feel like Indy would make more thematic sense over at Hollywood Studios, where high-octane adventure already has a home.

“Exciting: Casita coming!”

Dari shared,

“Exciting: Casita coming! What we could do without: The Cars area coming to MK. Should be replacing the cars in Tomorrowland.”

Encanto continues to have a serious fan base, and the idea of stepping inside Casita has people counting down the days. There’s something about that colorful, music-filled world that just feels like it belongs in the parks. On the flip side, the Cars expansion in Magic Kingdom is a bit more divisive. Some of you think it would have fit more naturally in Tomorrowland rather than Frontierland, and that placement question keeps coming up again and again.

“Monstropolis!”

Samuel wrote,

“Monstropolis! Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED MuppetVision 3D so much! But Montropolis looks like it’s going to be amazing! The Indiana Jones ride I can do without. It just feels out of place and I feel like there could have been better choices to fit the theme. Indiana Jones feels like it fits better in Hollywood Studios. But I’ll probably still ride it 🤷‍♂️”

The love for Monstropolis is strong. Even fans who are nostalgic for MuppetVision 3D are admitting that a full Monsters, Inc. land sounds incredible. That said, Indiana Jones in Animal Kingdom keeps landing on the “could live without” list. The theming conversation is not going away anytime soon.

“Can’t wait for cars and tropical America.”

Joey shared,

“Can’t wait for cars and tropical America. Also, ready for big thunder, and can’t wait to see the changes. Villains land though, I’ll visit it but I don’t get the glorification of villains.”

Tropical Americas

Tropical Americas is another project that’s generating major buzz. Many of you are ready to see Animal Kingdom evolve, especially if it means new stories and fresh environments. Big Thunder reopening is also high on the excitement list. At the same time, not everyone is sold on Villains Land. Some of you are curious but cautious, and a few are questioning the whole concept of celebrating Disney’s bad guys in such a big way.

“Having another E-ticket in HS is much needed.”

Ricco said,

“Having another E-ticket in HS is much needed. Plus I prefer coasters over dark rides, sorry y’all 🤷🏾‍♂️😆 Could easily live without the castle repaint.”

There’s definitely a crowd that wants more thrill rides, especially at Hollywood Studios. Coaster fans are ready for bigger, faster, and more intense attractions. Meanwhile, even aesthetic changes like a castle repaint are up for debate. For some of you, it’s just not a priority compared to new rides and expanded lands.

“Changes in AK.”

Martha shared,

“Changes in AK. I did not like Dinosaur or the adjacent area. I’m excited about the Muppets coming to the Rockin Roller Coaster. I’m excited about Monsters Land. I’m not as excited about the changes to MK.”

Animal Kingdom’s transformation seems to be winning over fans who were not particularly attached to the current DinoLand area. The Muppets taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster also has plenty of supporters. At the same time, Magic Kingdom’s updates are getting a more mixed reaction. For some of you, that park feels sacred, and any big shift is going to take some convincing.

“Could live without Carsland shoe horned into Frontierland…”

Melissa wrote,

“Could live without Carsland shoe horned into Frontierland but excited for Big Thunder to reopen and Villians land.”

That Frontierland conversation is clearly sticking around. Even fans who are excited for Villains Land and classic attractions reopening are unsure about how Cars fits into the current aesthetic of that area.

“For sure the tropical Americas.”

Rebecca shared,

“For sure the tropical Americas. I very much am excited to see Casita and have high hopes for it. My could live without is the muppets coaster. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited the Muppets will have a presence, but I don’t do upside down. So I won’t be doing that one. Which means I’ll have to miss out on the Muppets still.”

This model from Disney Imagineering shows the casita of La Familia Madrigal in the new Tropical Americas land coming to Animal Kingdom.

This one highlights something important. Sometimes it’s not about the theme. It’s about ride style. Not everyone wants to go upside down, even for the Muppets. Accessibility in thrill level matters just as much as IP.

If this poll proves anything, it’s that Disney fans care deeply about where these stories land and how they’re brought to life. You’re excited about Encanto, Monsters, Tropical Americas, and new E-tickets. You’re cautious about placement, theming, and whether certain concepts truly fit the park they’re going into. And honestly, that passion is part of what makes being a Disney fan so fun.

Keep sharing your thoughts with us, and we’ll keep bringing you the latest on every update, twist, and reveal coming to Disney World.
