Picking the right bag for your day in Disney World is HARD. It doesn’t seem like it would be, but trust me when I say that I’ve made the mistake of having the wrong bag in Disney World more times than I care to admit.

You want a bag that’s large enough to fit everything you need for your park day, but you also don’t want something too large to make walking difficult or heavy to carry around. For a while, I carried around a whole backpack in the park, but after a few trips, I realized it was time to upgrade. That’s when I found the PERFECT bag, and I’ll never use another one!
I traded my backpack for none other than a Kavu Sling Bag! A friend got this bag for me years ago, and I had yet to use it for anything, but after looking at it and realizing it was the perfect size, I had another friend embroider my name on it in Mickey Mouse’s iconic colors, and it was ready to go.

What I love about this bag is that there are multiple pockets to use and different compartments, but not too many that you forget where you put some items.
My personal favorite pocket is inside the main compartment — it’s a small zippered pocket that keeps your extra important belongings safe. Personally, it’s where I keep my Loop earplugs, cards, and my earbuds, because they’re the most likely to get lost in the craziness of my bag.

I usually use the rest of the main pocket for my medication bag and my cooling towel if it’s a hot time of year. Then there’s a whole other pocket on the opposite side of the bag that I usually use for a book or my Kindle if I know I’ll be waiting some lines in the park, or I use it to keep any small souvenirs of mine safe. Then I have two pockets in the front to use as well for anything else I need — see, so much space!

I know there are a lot of park bags out there, but it’s truly rare you’ll see me in Disney World with anything else. Now, if I’m heading to Universal Orlando, I go for a smaller sling bag so I can go on rides with it, but fortunately, there are only a handful of Disney rides that require you to take your bags off, and for them, it doesn’t matter what size your bag is — they’ve all gotta come off!
