Your Secret Is Safe With Me: Disney Adults Confess the Weirdest Things They Do at Disney World

If there’s one thing we know about Disney Adults, it’s that we’re not afraid to own our quirks.

Quincy probably agrees

From ride traditions to park routines, we all have our little Disney World habits that might seem totally normal to us—but might leave everyone else scratching their heads. That’s why we wanted to find out from you about the weirdest things you do in Disney World, and let’s just say…you all did not hold back. Now, let’s get into some of your funniest, most surprising, and most relatable responses!

We reached out to our followers on Facebook and Instagram to ask: “What’s the WEIRDEST thing you do in Disney World?” We had quite a few people leave their opinions in the comments!

Now, let’s go over some of your top responses!

“Take pictures with…”

First up, we’ve got Patrick, who shared:

“Take pictures with an irrationally angry duck.”

Hey, Donald!

If you’ve ever met Donald in the parks, you know—he’s got a temper, and he’s not afraid to show it. Donald poses with sass, gives side-eye, and occasionally throws in a dramatic stomp or two. Honestly, the photos turn out hilarious every time. We love that Patrick has turned Donald’s grumpy charm into his own running Disney memory.

“Eat food…”

Next, Natalie admitted to something that, honestly, a lot of us are probably guilty of but don’t always talk about. She said:

“Eat food off trash cans.”

Trash cans

Before you cringe, let’s set the scene. EPCOT festivals, no tables in sight, both hands full of food and drinks, and you need a flat surface. Boom. Trash can dining. It’s a rite of passage for festival-goers at Disney World. We’re calling it practical, not weird.

“…we challenged each other to find…”

Next,  we’ve got Chant, who shared:

“Last time we were at Epcot, we challenged each other to find the weirdest pre-packaged snack we could, and when we got back to our rooms we had to try all of them no matter what, and then vote on which was the weirdest. The winner was the dried, candied baby crab from Mitsukoshi in the Japan pavilion.”

Mitsukoshi snacks

This goes in the books as one of the most creative (and slightly adventurous) Disney traditions we’ve heard. Forget the standard Mickey bars or churros—their group went on a full-blown snack scavenger hunt. The fact that they ended up with dried, candied baby crab as the winner says it all. Mitsukoshi in EPCOT’s Japan pavilion always has some of the most unique snacks, so this challenge could actually become a must-do for anyone who loves trying new things.

“…when I was hungry…”

Next up, we’ve got Rachel, who shared:

“Can’t do it anymore but when I was hungry but didn’t want to buy a whole meal I used to just buy a bun at places for $1 and then pile it with stuff from the toppings bar 😂😂😂.”

RIP toppings bar

If this isn’t a throwback hack that’s equal parts genius and chaotic, we’re not sure what is. Back in the day, toppings bars were loaded with lettuce, cheese, onions, pickles—you name it. So, Rachel would buy a cheap bun and basically turn it into a full meal for a buck. Disney has cracked down on this, so it’s not something you can really get away with anymore, but we’ve got to respect the hustle.

“…run from one side of the park to…”

Next, we’ve got Michelle, who shared:

“Half the things that I used to find weird they don’t do anymore at Disney. The weirdest and craziest thing I used to do is run from one side of the park to the other to get a fast pass. I miss that.”

Old Fastpass+ Kiosks

Wow, this took us right back to the FastPass era. If you remember those days, you know the stress of sprinting across Magic Kingdom to snag that paper ticket before they ran out. It may sound wild now, but at the time, it felt like a necessary sport. Michelle, we feel your nostalgia—though our feet are grateful for the break.

“Go to MK…”

Next, we’ve got Shawn, who shared:

“Go to MK and not ride anything.”

Cinderella Castle

And you know what? That’s not as weird as it might sound. Sometimes, just soaking up the atmosphere, grabbing snacks, and watching the castle change colors is more than enough. Not every Disney day has to be ride-packed to feel magical.

“Keep going and not ever get…”

Next, we’ve got Erin, who shared:

“Keep going and not ever get an annual pass 🤣🤣🤣”

Annual Pass

Financially, it makes sense for some, but Erin knows it might be one of the quirkiest choices in the Disney adult playbook. Respect for keeping the streak alive, Erin.

“Bring an entire half of a 28 inch suitcase…”

Lastly, we’ve got Debbie, who shared:

“Bring an entire half of a 28 inch suitcase filled with gifts for cast members.”

We love our Cast members!

Now this might win the award for dedication. She literally dedicates half her luggage to gifts for Cast Members. That’s not just weird—that’s the sweetest thing ever. Disney cast members truly make the magic, and Debbie’s tradition is a reminder of just how much they deserve the appreciation.

Well, those were just some of your thoughts on the weirdest things you do in Disney World, and now we want to hear even more from you! In the meantime, stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney news!

  1. Kudos to Debbie. I also bring things to give to the overloaded, under appreciated employees and staff. I go out of my way to say, “Thank you for taking care of us.” Especially to the security and sanitation folks.
