Who’s ready to bring Disney and Pixar’s newest movie to the comfort of their own home?
Pixar’s newest movie in their large portfolio, Elio, went out to theatres on June 20th, 2025. Now it’s time to take this space adventure home. Let’s take a look at all the details!
We’re journeying on Pixar’s latest interstellar adventure from our couch this fall, as Elio will officially become available on digital platforms starting on August 19th. This will include Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango. We know what you’re thinking, and no, there is no news on Disney+ as of right now.
Streaming has been the most popular way to consume entertainment, but people still love collecting their DVDs! If that’s you, there will be physical copies of the movie dropping, so mark down September 9th in your calendar. That’s the day the newest Pixar movie will drop on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
The latest Pixar movie is an adventure unlike anything we’ve seen before. Alien-obsessed Elio Solís suddenly has a close encounter with intergalactic beings, and he’s in for the experience of a lifetime. After trying everything to contact extraterrestrials, Elio is shocked when they not only respond, but when they take him up to their “Communiverse”.
Without spoiling the movie, things get interesting when the cosmic beings believe him to be the ruler of Earth! Elio’s experience in the Communiverse not only expands his horizons but also teaches him great values. The movie touches on subjects like building connections and loving what you have.
After a little bit of an underperformance at the box office, at least from Pixar’s own standards, maybe fans were waiting to watch the movie on their own couch. In-home viewing of Elio with 4K Ultra HD is sure to catch your eye! We’re talking about a Pixar animated space adventure; the visuals truly pop.
The biggest reason why you may want to get the Blu-ray release is that it will offer hours of exclusive bonus content. This will include astronautic and artistic featurettes, as well as a gag reel, deleted scenes, and a peek at Pixar’s Easter Egg inclusions. The 4K UHD will be available in a collectible limited edition SteelBook with astronomically appealing artwork and packaging, displaying the beauty and wonder of Elio’s adventure, along with a couple of his new extraterrestrial friends.
