3 Rules Introverted Disney Adults Must Follow in Disney Springs

Disney Springs may be a dream shopping and dining destination for many Disney World guests, but it can be a nightmare for introverts!

Disney Springs

Disney World’s shopping district has one of the resort’s most interesting histories, which has led to a sprawling development full of restaurants, retail, and architectural flourishes where Disney says guests are “sure to discover Happily Whatever You’re After.” Well, some guests will. Those who aren’t fans of crowds or small spaces might have a harder time; however, there are some “rules” to mitigate that.

Don’t Walk Through the Landing at Night

Once known as Pleasure Island, The Landing is a standalone island — connected to the rest of Disney Springs via bridges — that houses some of the complex’s best-known eateries, including The Boathouse, Raglan Road, and The Edison.

However, the number of popular destinations crammed into the island’s compact footprint can lead to getting gridlocked with people, especially at night. If you have a dislike of being jammed into crowds, we’d recommend avoiding the area at the height of dinner hours unless you have a specific reservation.

Avoid Staying Long at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

Staying of The Landing, introverts should be especially aware of one of the area’s most popular spots: Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar.

This heavily themed Indiana Jones bar and lounge is worth popping into; however, the interior is a bit dark, cramped, and often very crowded, making it problematic for many introverts to stay for a long period of time.

Use Mobile Checkout at World of Disney

The largest store at Disney Springs — and one of the largest Disney stores on Earth — World of Disney features something for fans of every corner of the House of Mouse’s vast empire. However, lines at the store’s registers can grow quickly, often with guests packed together while waiting to pay for their goods.

The best way around this for introverts wishing to avoid these crowds? Mobile Checkout. All you’ll need to do is:

  • Download and open the My Disney Experience app and sign in or create an account.
  • Select the “+” icon and find the merchandise mobile checkout option.
  • Scan the barcodes on your merchandise as you shop.
  • Select “Check Out” and pay on your phone. (Eligible discounts will be automatically applied.)
  • Show your QR confirmation code to a Disney Cast Member before you exit the shop.
