If you love Star Wars, you’ve probably already dived into some pretty epic Star Wars games like the Star Wars Jedi series, Star Wars Battlefront, and Star Wars Outlaws. However, if you’re a Fortnite player (and even if you’re not), you might be playing some of the Star Wars content in that game. However, Disney just revealed that you will soon be able to create your OWN Star Wars content in the game.

The State of Unreal is a big media event where Unreal Engine (which is the software many video games are designed with) makes announcements about how the engine will be used in the future. If you play Fortnite, you may be aware of the Unreal Editor in the game that lets you create your own content that other players can also interact with. Well, The State of Unreal announced that you’ll soon be able to use the Unreal Editor in Fortnite to create Star Wars content.

The Unreal Editor in Fortnite launched two years ago and since then, players have spent billions of hours creating 260,000 live creator-made islands. Well, some of those islands will soon be Star Wars-themed. The Unreal Editor in Fortnite will give you Star Wars features, templates, and assets that you can use to create your own custom-built Star Wars content in the game.

Disney and Epic Games did not reveal an exact date for the Star Wars upgrade to Unreal Editor but did mention it would launch after June 27th.
