Disney World is constantly changing!
From classic rides getting major updates to entire lands closing, Mickey and his pals have been hard at work. Luckily for us, the latest changes means that two brand new shows have finally opened in Hollywood Studios!
It’s a big day for Hollywood Studios! After what feels like years of waiting (and it kinda was), two new shows have finally debuted in Hollywood Studios. First is the long-awaited return of Ariel and her friends in The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure!Â
This show is a revamped version of Voyage of the Little Mermaid, which closed in 2020. This new show still follows the classic Disney film, but there are now more added scenes and songs that were excluded from the previous stage show.
This new show features songs like Kiss the Girl and Part of Your World with tons of amazing puppets and live actors bringing the movie to life! We’re warming up our non-stolen vocal cords and grabbing our Dinglehoppers as we speak!
If you aren’t a princess fan, no worries! The second new show might be for those looking for a little bit of mischievous fun. Over by Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, you’ll find the brand new Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After!Â
This show follows three main villains, Maleficent, Captain Hook, and Cruella De Vil, as they try to convince you that they are the ones who have been treated unfairly!
These three villains, along with some other baddies you might spot, will fight for your vote to see who just got a bad edit! (If you watch reality TV, you’ll understand me here.) They’re not bad, just misunderstood.
In the end, the crowd gets to vote, meaning there are three alternative endings for this one! How cool is that? Not only do we hear these characters sing live, but there’s even a brand new song just for this show!
Both of these shows kick off today, May 27th, and will run continuously throughout the day. We can’t wait to stop by both shows over and over again (not only for the AC).
