Technology is a BIG part of Disney World vacations now. If you are planning a trip to Disney World, you might be wondering which wearable technology is best — an Apple Watch or an Oura Ring.

Your Disney vacation will have several aspects of technology a part of it — Lightning Lanes, MyDisney app, touch points to scan in, and so much more. That got us thinking about the two most wearable pieces of technology right now, the Apple Watch and the Oura Ring, and which of those would be best for Disney World.
The Apple Watch is made by Apple, and you can send a text, take a call, listen to music and podcasts, use Siri, and get notifications on the go.

It also measures things like your heart rate, step count, and other movement metrics to help you stay knowledgeable about your body.
The Oura Ring tracks over 30 biometrics, including sleep, activity, stress, heart health, and women’s health metrics. With up to 8 days of battery life, no screens, and no vibrations.

You wear it on your finger, and it is meant to be worn 24/7.
These two offer some overlap in features like health tracking; however, overall, they are pretty different. The Apple Watch has features like a cell phone, giving you the ability to text, call, and pay with the watch, whereas the ring does not. But, which is better to wear at Disney World?

One negative to the Oura ring is that if you are someone who suffers from your fingers swelling in the heat, the ring could be difficult to take off in Florida when we see those high temperatures. The flip side is that the ring might fall off more easily than your Apple Watch because your watch band will have notches to tighten it to your body better than the ring.

The Apple Watch can show you the time, and you can set alarms with your watch. Time is pretty important when you’re at Disney World. If you have Lightning Lanes or dining reservations to be at, knowing the time can be very helpful. If you are someone who likes to keep their phone in a bag or in your pocket, having your watch can be very helpful to not hunt down your device.

The Apple Watch can also help you pay for items throughout the park. You can either connect your debit or credit cards to your Apple Wallet, or you can add a digital Disney Gift Card. You can use these at merchandise stores and quick service locations throughout Disney World. You can also connect your Disney tickets to your Apple Wallet, making them available on your watch. This means you can use your watch to scan into the parks or Lightning Lanes!

Finally, you can attach your MagicBand+ puck to your Apple Watch band using a holder. You can also get adorable Disney Apple Watch bands. This means you don’t have to wear both during your park days!

For us, the clear winner is Apple Watch. It can do more things to help make your Disney trip easier. We hope this helps you on your next Disney vacation. For more tips, follow AllEars.net.
