Disney World Just Made a BIG App Change…and It’s Going to Make You Mad

Now, some of them are going to work for you and your group better than others, but this one has been a quiet staple for years now. Buying Memory Maker or your PhotoPass photos can get expensive VERY quickly, so for years now, there’s been the option to screenshot your photos as long as you’re okay with the watermark being there. However, we’re sad to report to you that that’s no longer the case.

It’s true — we checked on the Disney World and Disneyland app earlier this morning, and when you go to take a screenshot or screen recording of your photos, you’ll be met with a blank white screen.

This is very unfortunate, as PhotoPass photos are technically free to have taken, you just would have to be okay with taking a screenshot of them with their watermark on your phone, but now, this is no longer an option.

However, it is important to note that you can ask PhotoPass photographers to also take photos with your phone! This is completely allowed, but be mindful of those that are around you and make sure you’re not taking up too much of their time, as they often have a line of people waiting for their turn.
