How Much Will It Cost to Eat at the NEW Hotel Restaurant Coming to Disney World?

There’s a brand new fine-dining experience on its way to Walt Disney World, and it’s not your average theme park steakhouse. Bourbon Steak by celebrity chef Michael Mina is opening this summer at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, replacing the iconic Shula’s Steak House. We tried one of their existing locations in California to get a feel for the menu and prices, and if that’s any indication…you might want to start budgeting now. Here’s what we know (and what we think you can expect) when Bourbon Steak makes its Disney World debut.

First, What Is Bourbon Steak?

This isn’t just another hotel restaurant. Bourbon Steak is a high-end steakhouse by Michael Mina — a James Beard Award-winning chef known for his elevated takes on American cuisine. This new spot is officially taking over the Shula’s location at the Swan and Dolphin Hotel, and will be one of the more upscale dining options on Disney World property.

Shula’s is set to take its last reservations on June 14th, 2025, and Bourbon Steak will open sometime mid-summer. Since we couldn’t wait to find out what this experience might look like, we headed over to the Bourbon Steak location in Dana Point, California — inside the Waldorf Astoria — to see what the hype is all about.

Let’s just say…we were impressed. But we were also very aware of the dent it made in our wallets.

Our Experience at Bourbon Steak (and What It Might Mean for Disney Prices)

As soon as we walked in, we knew this place meant business. Wine walls, ocean views, and a sunset dinner? This is the kind of spot where you’re not just eating — you’re experiencing. And that vibe is probably going to carry over to the Disney World version too, even if the Pacific Ocean view doesn’t.

So let’s talk numbers.

Drinks:

We kicked things off with a Smoked Old Fashioned that cost $64. Yes, sixty-four dollars. But to be fair, it was a whole production — think fire, smoke, and a branded ice cube. It was smoky, strong, and genuinely one of the best Old Fashioneds we’ve ever had.

Then came the Espresso Martini at $31 — rich, well-balanced, and just bougie enough to make you forget about the price tag for a minute.

If you’re planning to enjoy a cocktail (or two) when this opens at Disney, expect to spend $30–$65 per drink, especially if you’re ordering one of the showier options.

Starters:

The complimentary Duck Fat Fries Trio was a fun (and delicious) surprise. Different flavors, different dips, and completely free — though it’s not guaranteed this will stay the same at the Disney location.

We also got the Ahi Tuna Tartare for $34, and it was easily one of the best dishes of the night. Tossed tableside and packed with flavor — this is the kind of dish that might turn a tartare skeptic into a believer.

Mains:

You can’t go to Bourbon Steak without trying the steak, right? We ordered the 8-oz Filet Mignon for $78. It was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and didn’t need the sauce trio we added for $12, but hey — we wanted the full experience.

If you’re going for steak at the Disney World location, we’d expect prices to hover between $70–$100+ depending on the cut and add-ons.

Sides:

We tried two sides — the Truffle Mac & Cheese ($21) and the Brussels Sprouts ($17). The mac was just okay, but the sprouts? Absolute stars. Roasted perfectly with a sweet and tangy soy-lime caramel sauce. Easily worth the price.

Dessert:

We went all in here.

    • The OC Candy Bar ($19) was like a peanut butter cup went to private school.
    • The Warm Spiced Beignets ($18) came with boozy butterscotch custard and were perfectly fluffy.
    • And the Basque Cheesecake ($17) was the sleeper hit — caramelized on the outside, rich and creamy inside, and paired with roasted strawberries.

If you’re a dessert person, be prepared to spend around $17–$20 per sweet treat.

So…How Much Will It Cost at Disney World?

Based on our meal and what we know about other upscale restaurants at Disney World (like Victoria & Albert’s or California Grill), we’re estimating that a meal at the new Bourbon Steak will run you anywhere from $100–$200 per person, depending on how much you eat (and drink).

Here’s a quick breakdown of what we expect:

    • Cocktails: $30–$65
    • Appetizers: $20–$40
    • Steaks: $70–$120
    • Sides: $15–$25
    • Desserts: $15–$20

If you go all in — drinks, appetizer, steak, sides, dessert — you’re looking at around $175–$225 per person before tax and tip.

Is it pricey? Absolutely. Is it worth it for a special occasion meal at Disney World? Honestly…probably. The food is high quality, the service was fantastic, and if the new location delivers the same experience we had in California, it’ll be a hit for Disney adults and foodies alike.

Bourbon Steak at Disney World is not going to be your casual steak dinner after a long park day. This is a plan ahead, make a reservation, splurge-worthy kind of spot. Think anniversaries, celebrations, or your one big meal of the trip. If you’re after a unique fine dining experience with top-notch service, a deep drink menu, and one of the best steaks on property — this is probably going to be your new go-to. Just don’t forget to budget for it.
