2 HUGE Reasons Disney Adults Will Be Running to the Parks This Year

Disney World will look very different in a few years, as they are making some huge additions!

Magic Kingdom

All the Disney World buzz has been surrounding the coming of Monsters, Inc. Land in Hollywood Studios, Cars Land and Villains Land in Magic Kingdom, and Pueblo Esperanza in Animal Kingdom. We know those won’t be coming for a long time, but there are some new additions to Disney World that will be coming this year! Take a look at some of the things we are beyond excited about, and why Disney adults will be running to Disney World in 2025!

Do you think a pirate’s life is for you? Then you’re going to fit right in at the brand-new Pirates Lounge! At the 2024 D23 Expo, it was announced that Disney World would be getting a lounge themed to Pirates. The lounge will be coming to the Magic Kingdom in Adventureland.

Pirates of the Caribbean

The tavern will be extending the Pirates of the Caribbean story and will be a place for pirates of all ages. According to Disney, the lounge will offer a welcoming haven for all types of pirates, and stated “Here, bandits and buccaneers-to-be from every corner of the seven seas are welcome to join together and raise a toast to the pirate life!”

Choose from all sorts of drinks and grub, and take in the wondrous atmosphere of this swashbucklin’ place. Be aware, there will be more than a few mysterious and magical surprises in there! So pull that eye patch off, and keep an eye out.

Disney hasn’t given an exact date for the opening of this new adventure, but it will be opening later this year. We’re expecting it to be pretty busy!

EPCOT

That’s not the only lounge opening up at Disney World, as EPCOT will be introducing a new place for space travelers to meet! At the 2024 D23 Expo, it was announced that a new Spaceship Earth Lounge will be coming — say hello to GEO 82!

Spaceship Earth is so iconic — when you think of EPCOT, we’re sure you think of Spaceship Earth. Now Spaceship Earth will be getting some more love as the new lounge will be inspired by the “stories, shapes, and enduring legacy” of Spaceship Earth. The lounge will be designed with lots of beautiful textures and metallic tones to replicate the iconic look of the massive EPCOT ball.

This lounge will offer a great viewing experience of the fireworks and a nice place to relax during a busy Disney day. Unlike the Pirates lounge, the GEO 82 will be for adults 21 and older. So families with little ones will have to plan accordingly if they intend to visit the new lounge. There is no exact opening date yet, but it will open later this year!
