Right off the bat, we have to let you know that there is no such thing as a perfect hotel stay — at least not one that earns a general consensus. So in our calculations, we had to go off our personal preferences. To do the math, we factored in a one-night stay at one of Disney World’s fanciest hotels with several upgrades, a spa day, and some hotel add-ons you can bring with you.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

To start things off, we selected Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa as a template, as it’s one of Disney World’s most luxurious and well-known Deluxe Resorts.

Instead of opting for a suite, we went with a Club Level room with a theme park view. This room is more luxurious than a standard room and includes views of Magic Kingdom, 2 queen beds and 1 day bed, a beverage cooler, coffee and tea station, patio or balcony, personalized Guest Services, and access to the Royal Palm Club.

One night costs somewhere in the ballpark of $1,700, give or take. Of course, this number will fluctuate based on the time of year, day of the week, and length of stay.

From there, we wanted to add some perks. We wanted something welcoming in the room for when we arrived, so we theoretically added on Magical Floral & Gifts by Florida Fresh Floral.

These gifts and flowers can be bought for really any occasion ,and while their prices fluctuate all over the place, we saw plenty of great options for around $100. That brings our new total to $1,800.

Since we’re staying at the Grand Floridian, let’s check out the spa!

An 80-minute Grand Signature Massage (without any add-ons) costs $310 and includes “warming stones and aromatic lotion to stimulate circulation and soothe daily fatigue.” The massage also incorporates “a smooth piece of botanical branch to reduce tension.” It then finishes with a scalp and foot massage.

Spa

With our total at $2,110, we decided we were done with upgrades and were ready to move on to necessities.

When considering things you might need on a vacation, a power strip is usually near the top of the list — especially when you have several devices you need to charge at once.

Flat Power Strip

You can grab a power strip for cheap on Amazon, and this one in particular is currently on sale for only around $10, taking our new total to $2,120.

If you have trouble sleeping away from home, this Soother Sleep Sound Machine Night Light could come in handy.

This nightlight not only offers many different colors but plays white noise and 30 sleep noises (like waves crashing), as well. This particular one is also on sale on Amazon and is around $20, bringing the final total to $2,140.

  1. In 2008 I was coming to grips with my little Brother’s untimely passing. He named me as his beneficiary to all of his policies. I spent a whole year crying. I was convinced that I heard him say” Please, dry your eyes”. ” I want you to go back to WDW and try to clear your mind”. I spent 30 days and nights in 2 separate hotels on property. I was alone and I did a lot of soul searching. I ate whatever I felt like. I was heartbroken. 30 days grieving in WDW and parks. Thank You Johnny! Thank You for being my little Brother! Trish
