According to People, Euphoria, and X-Men: The Last Stand star Eric Dane has amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Dane currently stars in Euphoria as Cal Jacobs — the series is set to begin production on season three this week. Dane also starred as Multiple Man in X-Men: The Last Stand.
“I have been diagnosed with ALS,” Dane said. “I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.”
Dane is 52 years old and married to Rebecca Gayheart. The two share two children, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13.

“I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to the set of Euphoria next week,” Dane said. “I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time.”

ALS is a disease that affects the nervous system, most specifically targeting the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. This results in a loss of muscle control that gets worse over time. It’s often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, named after the baseball player who was diagnosed with it. No specific cause is known. There is no known cure for the disease.
Eric Dane is also known for his role as Dr. Mark Sloan in Grey’s Anatomy, where he starred in over 100 episodes.
Our thoughts go out to Dane and his family.
