MCO (Orlando International Airport) has dropped a few more details about what we can expect to see inside soon. MCO had already announced plans to enhance concessions for Terminals A & B, and plans for that enhancement are already underway. With this expansion, MCO looks to add to its food offerings and is “currently seeking proposals from creative and highly motivated proposers for our food and beverage concessions” over a phased proposal system.

This new reimagining of concession offerings is part of the Concession Master Plan put to action by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA). The plan also intends to expand seating, while highlight the offerings of Central Florida through both taste and experience.

MCO has detailed that Phase 1 of the plan includes “more than 40 retail and restaurant options” for visitors to enjoy. While MCO will continue to offer nationally recognized restaurants and retailers, this update will allow Orlando visitors the opportunity to enjoy some of the best dishes from “landmark Central Florida restaurants.” Restaurants and shops included in phase 1 include Stasio’s, Smoke & Donuts, Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream…

Work for Phase 1 is expected to begin mid-2025, converting over 77,000 square feet of space in Terminals A & B landside and airside. These areas will undergo significant transformations, so you’ll want to be aware of the construction if you’re flying into MCO soon. The reimagining will take place over 3 parts, with the Procurement Committee expected to present recommendations to the GOAA Board by Summer 2025 as Phase 2, and Phase 3 anticipated to begin by late 2025.
