EPCOT is currently in the midst of its beautiful Flower & Garden Flower Festival, a fan-favorite festival because of all the amazing art, flowers, food, and beverages.

But if you’re planning to visit EPCOT during the festival, you should be aware of a change coming to this very popular spot — especially if you had plans to be drinking around the world!
One thing guests love to do at EPCOT is get their drink on — no matter the festival, time of year, or even time of day. Why? Because drinking around the world isn’t just something you do; it’s an event! When it comes to drinks, the UK Pavilion is a go-to spot. That’s where you’ll find the Rose & Crown Pub, we’re sure you’ve heard of it!

Well, Disney just announced that the Rose & Crown Pub will no longer be serving draft beer and cider for over two months. It’s not a matter of Disney choosing not to sell draft beverages anymore; they are actually unable to. Why is that?

According to a Cast Member, the restaurant is currently in the process of building a new keg system. Cast Members expect this process to last approximately 10 weeks. Cast Members also said Disney was considering closing the entire pub during this process, but ended up deciding it was better to at least serve canned beverages as an alternative.

So, no draft beverages at the location for at least the next two months. While the new keg system is being completed, guests are being asked to purchase alternative beverages. Canned beer and cider are also available for now, so at least there is still a beer and cider alternative.

There were no signs advertising the change, though Cast Members are informing guests about the issue as they arrive in the pub. Signs could possibly start popping up, but we don’t have any confirmation at this time.

However, all hope isn’t lost for guests wanting to drink around the world. The pavilion opened up a new outdoor bar kiosk earlier this week. So, guests can now purchase some draft beverages from the kiosk as an alternative.

Even though your plans for drinking around the world might have to change a little bit, at least there is an alternative option for craft beverages in the UK. We’ll be following along with the new keg installation, so make sure to follow us at AllEars for all the latest Disney updates!
