That’s why, when we go to Universal Orlando, we love snagging the refillable mugs. These bad boys ensure you get to chug Coca-Cola’s selection of Freestyle machine beverages all day long, and if you refill your cup enough times, it’s a pretty good deal. But will this tasty tradition continue at Universal Orlando’s new theme park, Epic Universe?
How Refillable Mugs Work at Universal Orlando
If you’ve never snagged a refillable cup at Universal Orlando, we’re here to break down how it works. At several locations across Universal Orlando property, you can purchase a Coca-Cola Freestyle Souvenir Cup for $18.99. That may seem like a hefty price tag for a singular cup, but there’s a big perk that comes with it.
With this cup, you can visit Coca-Cola Freestyle machines throughout the property and get almost unlimited drink refills for the day of purchase. (The catch is that you can only refill it once every 10 minutes.) You can also get refills at many locations that have regular soda fountains (not the Freestyle machines).
If you have multiple people in your party interested in these refillable cups, you can buy multiple for a discounted price. Two cups can be purchased together for $16.99 each, or you can get 3-6 cups for $14.99 each. And if you want to use it more than one day? Well, the BEST news is that you can “reactivate” your cup on a future day for $11.99. We’ve even managed to reactivate cups that we bought years ago, which is incredibly helpful if you visit often or if you’re a local.
We know many people are big fans of this offering (ourselves included!), so will it be available at Epic Universe as well?

How Refillable Mugs Will Work at Epic Universe
When we recently got the chance to visit Epic Universe before its opening, we were delighted to find that there ARE refillable mugs there too! The park even has its own exclusive mug design with a basic gold logo and blue and black background. We spotted Coca-Cola Freestyle machines around the park, as well as in some dining locations that we visited. We’ll be adding those refillable cups to our packing list for Epic Universe this summer! Who’s with us?!
We found one of the machines over at the Oak and Star Tavern! It blended in with its setting very nicely. The Oak and Star Tavern is a BBQ dining location, located in Celestial Park.
We were surprised to see a special flavor being offered at the machine! It was called “Celestial Spritz” and offered two beverage options.
We could choose between Celestial Spritz and Celestial Spritz Zero. We went with the original Celestial Spritz.
Even when you think you know everything there is to know about Epic Universe, it keeps hitting us with so many surprises left and right. And they always come in the most unexpected places! As if we needed more reasons to buy the refillable mug…Universal went and gave us an Epic Universe exclusive soda.

Disney finally drive us to take an actual on property trip to Universal this Fall. As caffeine-aholics we certainly will buy refillable mugs. Well get 2, although the “once every 10 minutes seems like we could easily keep 2 non refillable mugs full all day, but that’s be cheating. I think. Anyway, looking forward to spending some money not at Disney this year.
