Celebrities have been visiting Disney theme parks since Disneyland first opened in 1955. Over the past 70 years, everyone from musicians and actors to sports stars and heads of state have visited the company’s theme parks.

Recently, a high-profile celeb who got their start as a Disney star paid a visit to the Disneyland Resort, and documented the trip on their Instagram profile in a video that’s giving a certain generation ALL-THE-FEELS!
Demi Lovato shared a video on her TikTok featuring different clips of her dancing around the Disneyland Resort set to “This Is Me”, the song she performed with Joe Jonas in the 2008 Disney Channel original film Camp Rock.

Lovato captioned the clip with “Couldn’t go to Disney without doing the dis-knees.” The caption is a reference to the specific dance move from Camp Rock that Lovato recreates in the TikTok video. In recent years, the move — which is similar to one also used by Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff, and other Disney stars during the same period — has become a bit of a viral sensation, with users dubbing it the “Dis-Knees.”

Lovato, who got her start appearing as a youngster on Barney and Friends, became one of the biggest Disney stars of the second half of the 2000s thanks to starring roles in the two Camp Rock films as well as the Disney Channel original series Sonny with a Chance. As she matured into adulthood, Lovato has balanced acting with a highly successful music career, releasing eight studio albums since 2008. In addition, Lovato directed the documentary film Child Star in 2024.
